Hello! My name is Jaime Kapadia. I am the MLP teacher at Summit Drive Elementary. This is my 1st year at Summit, but my 9th year in Greenville County, and my 24th year teaching. I'm so happy to be here working with wonderful students and extraordinary teachers!
Before moving to Greenville, I spent 13 years teaching in Georgia, as a 4th grade and 2nd grade classroom teacher, as well as an Early Intervention Program (EIP) Reading and Math teacher. I also spent 2 years teaching English abroad, to high school students, in Japan. I graduated with a BS in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University and a MA in Early Childhood and Ed.S in Curriculum & Instruction from Piedmont College. I also have my ESOL certification and Gifted endorsement.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our children. I like traveling to visit family and friends all over, as well as traveling to new places around the world to learn more about different people and their cultures. Fun fact: I've lived in 8 different states and 2 countries. I also enjoy photography, and when I travel you can always find me with a camera around my neck, usually taking scenic pictures. Reading is also another passion of mine - I LOVE to read a good book curled up the couch or listen to an audiobook in the car or while out walking.
