Course Description:

The Agriculture Technology course is designed as an introductory course to the Agriculture Mechanics Career Pathway.  Providing general mechanical skills which are required in all areas of Agricultural Education.Typical instructional activities include hands-on experiences in woodworking; metal working; welding; small engine repair; participating in personal and community leadership development activities; planning and implementing a relevant school-to-work transition experience; and participating in FFA activities.We try to teach using FFA Career Development Events as part of lab/ shop work and encourage all students to join and participate in the FFA Chapter to get the full experience. There is a required 20 hour Supervised Agriculture Experience (SAE) that is hands on outside of class time.
