Dr. Jody Dill
SPED Resource Teacher
Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year. I trust you had a wonderful summer and are ready to learn this school year.
Thank you for visiting my website. I try to make learning fun. Together we can assist your children in making great gains this year. I want the students to work hard in my room. Please reach out if I can help you in any way. Feel free to use the Remind app, email, text, or call.
Parents, within the first month I will ask you to listen to your 1st or 2nd grade child read at night and sign their folder. It will take about 10 minutes but it will benefit them tremendously. K5 parents please work on counting with your child up to 100. 3rd grade parents, this is the year your child will learn the multiplication facts.
I am thankful to our Mt. View PTA for funding our HearBuilder phonemic awareness program for K5-3rd graders, and to Miss Gibson for funding the IXL program for math.
HearBuilder gives your child practice in phonemic awareness, auditory memory, sequencing, and following directions. All of those skills are necessary prerequisites to improve your child's oral reading fluency. Your child can get on this website at home by going to https://my.hearbuilder.com/student/login.aspx.
IXL is a math program designed for students to excel in their own personalized learning experience in math. Go to the Mountain View website, click on the student links, and IXL is under the math tab.
Email me (jdill@greenville.k12.sc.us) if you need the login code or password for either program. Thanks again to our wonderful Mt. View PTA!! My students and I appreciate your generous support!

She loves to teach reading and math strategies in a fun way.
She enjoys assisting students in their social/emotional journey by teaching them strategies to play cooperatively with others.
She makes learning fun by playing a variety of games and explicitly teaching children to work together in collaborative groups.
She believes that ALL children can learn.
She wants parents to purposefully talk to and interact with their children on a daily basis. This promotes brain growth and establishes healthy relationships with the children in your care!
She rewards students with edible treats (Skittles and M&M's) and prizes for a job well done.
She eats salty treats like: Cheetos Puffs, honey glazed pecans, chili cheese Fritos
She eats sweet treats like: Tootsie Rolls, Milk Duds, Cow Tails, Sugar Babies, and dark chocolate of any kind.
She drinks water, A&W root beer, and Ginger Ale.
Send in edible treats such as: Skittles, M&M's, Starburst, Hershey kisses, and miniature Twix or Tootsie Rolls.
Send in toys from the Dollar Tree or Amazon to be used as prizes for the students: miniature animals, fun erasers, match box cars, small containers of bubbles or Play Doh, etc.
