Greenville County Schools Future Teacher Academy invites you to the annual Future Educator's Conference. Take a look at the future of education, and embrace the opportunity to LOVE FIRST and Teach Second!
During this FREE Conference, enjoy time with other Greenville County Future Educator! Dress comfortably. The Roper Mountain venue provides wonderful walking trails between the buildings. You will participate in four interactive sessions as we explore the power of STEAM in teaching.
During lunch visit the college booths where you will meet admissions officers from South Carolina Teaching Fellows Institutions with information about the program and the application which opens October 1. Find the pictures and game booths during lunch to have some fun and win some prizes! Have a "meet & greet" with the GCSD School Board members. Feel free to eat lunch in the cafeteria or enjoy the beautiful day in the outdoor patio/gardens. After lunch, participate in your choice of "Lunch and Learn" sessions. All sessions are hands-on or interactive, so come with energy ready to move. (Boot Scootin' & Brain Breakin' Line Dancing, Sensory and Technology Playgrounds, Dessert & Coffee Bar Table Talks with Teachers, Self-Defense for Women and Tag! Your'e It!) You may spend the post-lunch time in the college fair speaking with university representatives about Teaching Fellows and Teacher Education Programs.

For student drivers, the parking lot is located on the right immediately after passing the security gate. You will see a shuttle station at the entrance of the lot. A shuttle will run every 10 minutes to carry you to the top of the mountain for check-in and registration at SYMMES Conference Center (Building 1). Trails are also clearly marked if you wish to walk.
For buses, after checking in at the security gate, please follow the main road to the top of the mountain. Drop off and Pick up will be in front of the SYMMMES Conference Center. You may then return to the bottom parking lot to park your bus for the day.
