About Me

I am an educator at heart and have been teaching in Greenville County School District for 22 years. I began my career as a special education teacher where I taught students with Educable, Emotional and Learning Disabilities in the self-contained setting. Due to the nature of the classes I was given the opportunity to teach, I constantly looked for ways to make learning interactive, authentic and meaningful for my students. Technology was the perfect tool and soon, my students were excited about learning and even started seeking information on their own outside the four walls of our classroom. I continued to use technology to enhance and expand learning for my students which led me to seek a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in eLearning and Technology Education from Concordia University. Now I serve our district as an Instructional Technology Facilitator. My greatest joy is being able to assist other teachers with technology integration as well as coaching them to be more effective and well-rounded teachers. I truly believe our Instructional Technology department motto, “Teachers Growing Teachers” and I'm excited about supporting teachers and helping them move students to the next level in learning!

When I'm not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our sweet daughter and our lovable dog, a Blue Staffordshire Mix named Steele. I enjoy cooking, crafting and planning, family time and traveling.
