Heating/Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Lab Daily Routine
Always come directly to the Heating/Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Lab after arriving at the school. NO EXCEPTIONS. If you need to go to another part of the building, for any reason, check in with your instructor first so that you are not marked absent.
Upon entering the lab, submit any assignments that you have completed as homework and pick up any graded and returned assignments.
Read the whiteboard for class activities as well as individually assigned activities for you and/or your group.
Change into your uniform within 5 minutes of entering the lab.
A. Heating/Air Conditioning & Refrigeration students are expected to have:
Leather work boots with laces tied. Blue denim jean pants- snug fitting or worn with a belt or suspenders. HVAC/R lab shirt worn and tucked into the pants. Safety glasses issued by GSCC.
Store your street clothes and belongings in your closed and locked locker.
Begin your assigned activity, starting with gathering the tools and supplies needed.
Report to the Theory Room with a pen/pencil, your textbook, notebook, and or paper at the specific time.
Clean up should proceed as follows:
1. Students may begin to clean up 10 minutes before their schedule departure time.
2. Every student is expected to contribute to the clean up on a daily basis; no matter what time they may be schedule to leave the lab. Work with a spirit of cooperation to benefit everyone.
3. Properly dispose of any scrap materials.
4. Assist others in clean up.
