Parents should make payments either by cash or with MySchoolBucks. All cash payments must be the exact amount.
The PSAT/NMSQT test will be administered during the school day on October 8th at Hughes Academy. Parents of students enrolled in the GCS Virtual Program need to provide their student with transportation.
South Carolina’s Junior Scholars are selected based on the student’s PSAT/NMSQT score. Specifically, a student who scores 550 or higher on the Evidence-Based Reading and Writing portion or scores 530 or higher on the mathematics portion of the PSAT/NMSQT will qualify.

This is not a test for knowledge; it is a test to make sure that students that are testing are able to access Bluebook and test it to make sure it works. We also finish registering students and show them how to access practice tests with their Chromebooks and go over how the test is administered. All students taking the PSAT/NMSQT must do a Student Readiness Test.
Yellow team- Sept 23rd
Red team- Sept 24th
Blue team and Cortes's Advisory- Sept 25th
Below is the slideshow from the Readiness Check that will be shared with test takers (this may be updated closer to the readiness check dates).
