My name is Ron Bowers, and this will be my 7th year at Hillcrest Middle School as a Physical Education and Health Teacher. I previously taught for four years as a Physical Education teacher and coached Boys' JV basketball for Dothan City Schools in Dothan, AL. I obtained my B.S. in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Anderson University, where I received an athletic scholarship for basketball. I also obtained my B.S. in Education at Athens State University in Athens, AL.
I'm from Tennesse and I am a Tennessee Titans/Tennessee Volunteers fan. I have three beautiful daughters. Besides teaching students how to improve and maintain a healthy lifestyle and increase physical fitness, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching sports, playing basketball, and playing video games. I am very excited to be a part of Hillcrest Middle School, and I look forward to teaching the students health and fitness.
