Please look over your schedule carefully for any possible errors listed below as these are the only instances in which a schedule change will be granted.
Students can request a schedule change by turning in a signed form to the Counseling office which can be picked up at Back to School Night or in the Counseling Office. In order for counselors to provide the most efficient service to all students in a timely fashion, please refrain from emailing counselors directly to request a schedule change.
1. The student is in the wrong course level (college prep, honors, advanced placement, early college) of a class for which the student was recommended and meets prerequisites. For example, the student is in “Honors” but should be in “Advanced Placement,” or is in “College Prep” but should be in “Honors.” Please note that requesting course level changes (Override and Underride requests) has passed.
2. The student has already taken and previously received credit for the course printed on the schedule and did not register to repeat the course.
3. The class scheduled requires successful completion of a prerequisite course, but the student has not taken or has failed this prerequisite class.
4. The schedule is incomplete (missing a class for one block or more).* (Please report to the Counseling Office during your missing block).
5. Multiple classes are scheduled for the same block.* (Please report to the Counseling Office during your block with two scheduled classes).
Students should continue to follow their schedule until they receive an updated one from their counselor.
