Service Eligibility
To be eligible for GCSD Mental Health Services your child must have impaired functioning in at least two of these four areas:
School
Home
Social
Community
Parent/guardian must be able to participate in 1.5-2 hours initial assessment session in-person. After that, family therapy sessions can take place at your convenience and we will make a plan together.
A child must want to participate in services and want to get better. I have plenty of experience with children who are resistant or hesitant at first and we can work through that together. It may take longer to see progress, but any progress is great!
First Steps
Complete the referral form below or send me an email.
If my caseload is full, we can talk about next steps or recommendations for your child. I do have a list of outside providers in TR that accept insurance.
Referral Form
Complete the form below. When you click submit, the results will automatically be shared with Lindsey. You can expect to receive a response within 3 business days to discuss your inquiry. Feel free to contact Lindsey with any further questions or concerns.
Intake Process
Lindsey will call the parent/guardian to schedule an intake appointment at the school during school hours. The first session usually takes 1.5-2 hours. Consents will be signed. Goals will be established.
At the time of your appointment, walk into the front office. I will come get you. Bring your Medicaid Card.
I will meet with your child separately after our initial meeting to complete the assessment. Please tell your child that Mrs. Lindsey will get them from class.
Then we start the real work with individual and family counseling sessions!

I am available during school hours only. The best way to reach me is email, since I have clients in my office most of the school day. I will return phone calls and emails within 24-48 hours when I am in the office.
I maintain a small caseload of clients and generally stay full. If you have a concern about your child, let's discuss the best option to support your child's needs, which may include referrals to providers outside of school.
