"Vintage with Nature"

Christmas Tree 2019

This year we were thinking about nature and all the vintage Christmas items students used to make for our parents at school in the nineteen-fifties and sixties. That's where nature and our Christmas Tree came about this year.

How we made it!

  • We made Pine Cone Rudolphs!

  • Next we made paper mache globes. We covered balloons with with recycled paper pulp and added dry glue and water

  • The next ornaments we made were the stars and snowflakes. We made these out of fallen branches (no fresh cuttings- branches that are already fallen) .

  • Lastly.. 5th grade and lots of help from Miss Floyd and W.E. CARE made twine "wish" balls made out of natural jute, balloons and paste. Yes! It's that simple! Hint~ Inside the wish balls there are wishes... you'll have to look hard.

  • Mrs. Richardson (Kindergarten) helped wrap all the gifts! Thank you Mrs. Richardson!!!!!!!!!!

Finished!

We decorated on Thursday November 21st!
