I have been teaching for over 29 years. I received my Masters in Education with a concentration in science from Furman University and am National Board Certified. I have 8 children, 5 wonderful grandsons and 4 beautiful granddaughters. In my free time I enjoy camping with my husband. I also just recently got a yellow lab named Dolly and have a 3 year old cat named Trigger.
I enjoy teaching science and try to pass that love of learning to my students.
Mission For Our Class:
I believe every student can learn when they have the right balance of guidance and opportunities to explore. My classroom is an active, hands-on learning environment where students engage in activities, discussions, and learn problem-solving strategies. I strive to give students choices in their learning so they can feel confident, successful, and excited about biology and science.
