6th Grade - Megan Giordani
Hello! I am Megan Giordani and I am the sixth grade School Counselor at GMA. This is my 16th year as a middle school counselor and I LOVE IT! My husband and I have one daughter, Ansley, who is actually a 7th grader here at GMA. We have 2 dogs, 2 cats, a bearded dragon, and 3 fish. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my family!

7th Grade - Darrah Heinold
This is my third year as a school counselor and I love being here at GMA with such incredible students and staff! When I'm not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Jeremy, and our two kids, Caden and Camry. I am a big animal lover and have 4 dogs and 2 cats at home! In my free time I love to go to sporting events whether it is my my son's basketball or football games or even the local Greenville Drive or Swamp Rabbits!

8th Grade - Pam Cao
My name is Pamela Cao, and I am the 8th grade counselor at Greenville Middle. This is my 21st year as a counselor at GMA! Before I became a counselor, I taught Music and Chorus. In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano and singing, reading a good book by the pool, and watching my favorite shows on Netflix. I also love traveling to new places-I visited Hawaii this summer, and it is my new favorite! I spend most weekends on the baseball field watching my high schooler play ball or at the farm with my daughter who rides horses. I look forward to getting to know everyone this school year!

Part-Time Counselor - Julie Moody
This is my first year as a school counselor and I am excited to be at GMA! I moved to South Carolina 5 years ago from the Chicago area. I love to spend time outside, watching sports (especially soccer and football), traveling, and relaxing with my dogs. My husband and I have 1 son and 2 daughters who are all at different colleges across the US.

Mental Health Counselor - Krista Smith
I am so excited to be starting my third year at GMA as the school based mental health therapist! You may previously know me as Ms. Day, but my husband Will and I got married back in January of 2023. (Yes-his name is Will Smith!) We are both from the upstate and are so glad to be close to family. We have a spoiled rotten redbone coonhound, Copper, who is more like a child than a dog at this point. In 2019, I graduated with a bachelors degree in sociology from the College of Charleston (go Cougs!) and in 2021 I received my Masters in Social Work from the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!). I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in the state of South Carolina. I look forward to getting to be a part of this special school community!

School Counselor Student Intern - Emily Richardson
Emily Richardson is a school counseling intern from Clemson University who is working towards her M.Ed/Ed.S in Counselor Education. She is set to graduate in May. She enjoys drinking coffee and sweet tea, going to the lake, and snuggling with her 2 cats in her free time. She will be at GMA from now until December.
Guidance Clerk - Sherry Coleman
Mrs. Coleman is the glue that keeps the counseling department together! She is from Pickens county and lives with her husband, Andy. Her two children, Jordan and Jaron are now grown. Jaron serves in the US Coast Guard in Texas. She is a die hard Gamecock fan and you can bet she is always watching her team.
