Students enrolled in a GCVSP PE and Health class are taking a class that is not self-paced. This means that all assignments, quizzes and tests are given a deadline for submission. If they do not submit the work until after the deadline, they will receive a late penalty or a zero if the deadline to submit late work has passed.
Units are rolled out on a schedule called the pacing guide. They are put in the Google Classroom at the beginning of the week and are expected to be turned in, in most cases, by the end of the week. Students manage their OWN time and organize so they can get all work done for the week by the end-of-week deadline. You should be prepared to do work every day on your online class assignments using your computer.
GCVSP teachers do not provide “live” instruction at set times during the school day. Some instructions may be provided through videos. Teachers offer a “live” Google Meet session each week for students that wish to attend. These meets are available if students have questions, concerns, or need any help with assignments.
