I went to Greer Middle and Greer High before attending North Greenville University, where I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. In 2005, I graduated from Columbia College with a Master's Degree in Divergent Learning. I also finished 31 hours of graduate work in science. In 2006, I received National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescence Science. In 2016, I renewed my National Board Certification in Early Adolescence Science this will extend my certification until 2026. This is my 25th year teaching. Science is my favorite subject. I like it because it's so hands-on.
My husband, Heath and I have been married for 25 years. I am actively involved in my church. I have been to Guatemala, New Mexico, Honduras, and South Dakota on mission trips with my church and look forward to going back to visit again soon. We have two tri-color beagles, Bear and Cookie.
