Meet Mrs. McManaway

Welcome to Third Grade!

My name is Cait McManaway, and I am overjoyed to be your child's third grade teacher this year. I am looking forward to my sixth school year teaching here at The Fork!

I was born and raised in Piedmont, SC with my dad, mom, two older brothers, and one younger sister. There was never a dull moment in our household growing up! I am a proud graduate of Woodmont High School. Go Wildcats!

I am an aunt to the little ones pictured on the left- Kenlee Rae & Jace. I also have a niece, Hollis Emerson, expected to arrive this September!

I received my B.A. in Early Childhood Education from North Greenville University, and my Masters in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis in Effective and Reflective Teaching from Clemson University. Go Tigers!

I am married to my forever best friend, Matt. We live in Fountain Inn & enjoy grabbing ice cream with our pup, Sadie, at the Ice Cream Station!

On July 4th, 2024, we became parents to our sweet twin girls, Blakley and Tinsley. We call them our little firecrackers! Life has been extra sweet with them around, and I can't believe they are already ONE!

I have a cat named Clemson (fun fact- we share the SAME birthday, April 9th) and the CUTEST (If I do say so myself) golden retriever, named Sadie. I am an animal lover at heart!

I had the honor of receiving the 2022-2023 Greenville County Schools Emerging Teacher of the year.

Outside of the classroom I enjoy reading, singing, and spending time with my family and friends. I am the head competitive cheerleading coach at Woodmont High School. I am an adventurous person that loves the outdoors; therefore, I love to find new and exciting places to go hiking, swimming, and camping.

This school year will be filled with hands-on, interactive, and fun activities that are standard-driven. I have an inherent interest to meet students’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and academic needs. I believe in personalizing learning for each student and focusing on the whole child, which includes social and emotional learning integrated into the classroom community and throughout the curriculum.

I’m so excited to build a relationship with you and your child. We are going to have a WONDERFUL year!
