Protection

Protection

Of all of the typical breaks our school sees with Chromebooks, the majority of them could have easily been prevented if the device had been properly stored in a case or sleeve. Fork Shoals School highly stresses the importance of every student having a case for their assigned Chromebook.

Sleeves and snap-on covers are inexpensive, but they tend to provide only minimal protection for general wear-and-tear. A hard case, while costing a little more, will provide better protection against potential breaks caused by impact. All of these options, in addition to protection, provide students the opportunity to "personalize" their Chromebooks, making them easy to identify in case one should be misplaced while at school.

Review the different cases to determine the case that's best suited for you. These protection options are available to purchase from your favorite electronic dealers. It is suggested that you check the reviews and ratings and try to have conversations with other students or parents to find a case that works best for you and your child.

Make sure it fits!

Our L5 -2nd Grade students are issued the Dell Chromebook 11. Look for something that will fit an 11" device.

3rd-5th Grade students have been issued Lenovo Chromebooks and they come with a case that should not be removed.
