January 14th FESTIVAL UPDATES
Please take a moment to read the document on the left! The opening page is very similiar to what went out earlier this year, however the contents detail out some fundraising and more details on what students can expect. Please see below for previous communication on student participation options and festival expectations.
Students are supposed to inform me on attendance by tomorrow. :)
FESTIVAL INFORMATION
We have the opportunity to attend two festivals for our students to be adjudicated in their work as theatre artists. In these festivals, students have the opportunity to be submitted for awards, scholarships, and of course - receive professional feedback. Participating students will receive ratings on their work.
These festivals help hold our program to the highest of standards, allow students to interact with other budding theatre artists and professionals, and continue growing the excitment of the arts.
In order for our students to attend, there is a number of things that need to come together. Please start with the summary on the right, and then follow the relevant buttons and links below to sign up your student and prepare to participate.
Total Cost for both events: $215
We are anticipating these costs to be covered by fundraising oppertunities. Please read all of the provided information to be in the loop.
There are specific rubrics and requirements for students to follow depending on their content and area of interest. Please check the link on the left to see individual requirements for performance pieces. These pertain to both festivals.
At the PDA Festival, students have the opportunity to perform in the reveal of South Carolina's first All State Production. Chosen students will participate in a staged reading and full number production that will be performed Sunday, the 23rd. There is a fee to join; please visit the link on the left for more information.
At the PDA Festival, seniors who are inducted into our ITS Troupe will be able to sign up for scholarship consideration. Please follow the link on the left for more information.

MACBETH information
Hello, parents, gaurdians, and student loved ones! Our theatre program is putting on the show Macbeth for our Spring Play. This is a challenging and extensive show that allows for ample student growth and oppertunity. The vast majority of work will happen in-class, however there are some times (such as Tech Week) where after school rehearsals will be required. Macbeth is a required project for Theatre 2, and an optional project for Theatre 1. Please refer to the appropriate parent letters below for more information pertaining to your student.
We want as many students to be involved as possible, and also want all students who want to be involved - to be. Students have a variety of options for positions and roles (ie, backstage roles or ensemble ones) that have less commitment outside of school. Talk with your student what may be best for them!
Forms are due March 1st.
