General Information

Welcome to the Fountain Inn High School Choral Department and the 2025-2026 school year!

The choral program at FIHS provides an opportunity for singers to study and perform quality choral music, study proper vocal techniques and musical skills, and share their talents with our school and community.  All students that express interest in sharing their choral abilities are invited to participate.  Discipline, dedication, and professionalism will be encouraged in order to reach the highest degree of musical success.  These standards are carried through to rehearsals, attendance, and performances.   All chorus classes are a part of the program, and each choir member can expect to make new choral friends as well as enjoy the experience of making wonderful music together. 

Parental participation is necessary to assist in the administration of the choir as well as to encourage continued success of the singers.  All parents and guardians are part of our FIHS choral family.  Please plan to enjoy assisting in making our musical experiences successful for all.

The FIHS Chorus is open to young men and women who show an interest in participating.  Chorus students will learn beginning instruction in choral singing and musicianship, and emphasis will be placed on developing proper vocal technique, tonal production, sight-reading skills, and beginning musical terminology.  Students will also learn a variety of choral literature representing various styles and cultures.
