I have been a math teacher for 27 years. I have taught 6,7, and 8th grade math throughout my career. This year I am excited to be teaching social studies again as well.
I love learning and I love technology. Because of my passions, I have 3 Masters degrees. I graduated from USC-Aiken with my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education as well as Middle School Math. I received a masters from the University of Phoenix in Educational Technology and another from Jacksonville State University in Media Specialist. I received my Education Specialist Degree in Administration from Clemson University.
I am originally from Walterboro, SC and lived in North Augusta, SC before moving to Greenville, SC. My husband, Brian, is the Offensive Line coach at Easley High School. My daughter, Katie, and her husband, Sean, live in Buffalo, NY with their 3 children Michael, Christian, and Penny and are expecting their 4th child on January 31. My son, Ryne, and his wife, Emilee with their daughters Harper and Hallee, live in Jacksonville, Al. Emilee is an Instructional Coach at Oxford Schools and Ryne is the Wide Receivers coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Shorter University in Rome, Ga. Our youngest son, Josh and his wife Amy live in Greenville. Josh is a Cameraman for WYFF Channel 4 and Amy is the Social Media Director for 105.5 Roar radio station. We have two dogs, Trevor and Rey. We are HUGE Clemson fans. We have season tickets and attend as many of Clemson and Shorter's games that we can in addition to Easley High School. If you ever need to find me in the fall, I'm sitting in a stadium seat watching a football game somewhere. In addition to loving football, I play tennis, teach spin, and work part time at Sportsclub Five Forks.
