What is Tri-M?

Tri-M stands for “Modern Music Masters” and is a program of the National Association for Music Education. Tri-M is designed to recognize students for their academic and musical achievements, reward them for their accomplishments and service to the community, and to inspire other students to excel through music and leadership. Students complete 12 hours of service split up over the course of the school year. Dues are $5.00 per year.

Who can be involved?

Any student that is currently enrolled in band, chorus, or orchestra is invited to join Tri-M at Eastside High School. All students must be currently in (and maintain) good academic standing (A average in music and B average overall) with no referrals or disciplinary issues.

Why is Tri-M important?

Tri-M is a National Honor Society driven to promote music and leadership throughout the community. It is a great way to volunteer and get involved with people in your community who love and appreciate music. Also, because it is a nationally recognized organization it looks great on college applications!
