Expectations

§   Expectations will be discussed during class and are subject to change as instructor and instructional needs change.

§   Be courteous and respectful to everyone; be mindful of what you say and do. Treat everyone in the classroom with the courtesy and respect you wish to receive yourself.  Pay attention and do not distract others. Also, respect the property, personal space, and opinions of others.

§   Be considerate.  Think about the feelings of others before you say anything.  Also, raise your hand so that each person may have a turn to speak; and don’t conduct personal business (doing your hair/make-up, gossiping, eating/drinking, etc.) during class time.

§   Participate in class.

§   Be on time. Please remember this is a business class and in the “Real World” early is on-time and on-time is late. Be professionals.

§   Be in your assigned seat when the bell rings, ready to work, Chromebook charged and ready to use.

§    The bell doesn't dismiss this class; the teacher does.  I will dismiss you after the final bell sounds if everyone is seated and quiet, all materials have been put away, and your work has been saved.

§   Wear your HHS ID at all times (properly around your neck- must be visible at all times).

§   Remain in your seat unless permitted otherwise - do not line up at the door.

§   Do not ask to go to the restroom the first or last 15 minutes of class or during instruction.

§   Do not interrupt the teacher when he is speaking/going over instructions/lecturing. Follow the same instruction when a peer has the floor.

§   Be attentive, respectful, and mindful of any visitors that we may have in the classroom (Guest Speakers, Administrators, District Personnel, Teachers, etc).

§   Maintain a positive attitude and trust the process!

§   Be Professional! Truth, Honor, Loyalty!

§  No Sleeping or heads on your desk.

§   Electronics: Please bring wired earbuds that connect directly to your Chromebook. Cell phones and headphones must be stored in student backpacks during all Bell-to-Bell instructional time and must not be visible or utilized. Per school policy, the first offense warrants a detention and the second warrants a referral; cumulative per quarter, not per day.

§   Dual Credit Courses: Students enrolled in dual credit courses with Greenville Technical College are expected to adhere to all policies and procedures of both institutions of learning.
