All  About me!!!

Hello Bryson Middle School students, parents, families, and community members, I am Michael L. Patz. I will be entering my fifth year as the Special Education ED teacher, and my second year as the Athletic Director for our 6th-8th grade students here at Bryson Middle School. I moved to Simpsonville from a town called Mashpee on beautiful Cape Cod in Massachusetts exactly four years ago.  I grew up on the island of Martha's Vineyard were I graduated high school. I then furthered my education and graduated from Salem State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice Administration, and an Associate Degree in General Psychology. Also, I am currently a recent graduate of Grand Canyon University were I eared a Master's Degree in Educational Administration. Prior to moving to Simpsonville, I taught  Science, Social Studies, CTE, and some special education courses at Mashpee Middle High School. My other passion besides educating our future leaders of tomorrow is coaching our very own Bryson Bulldogs in basketball. I can't wait to meet all of my new students and their families!!! I am very excited to work with, and alongside all of you during the 2026-2027 school year!!! Go Bulldogs!!!
