STEAM Makerspace is a very hands on learning environment, due to this practice it is important that all students are Safe, Responsible, and Respectful to the teacher, each other and to materials used in the Lab.  The expectation in class will be to be kind, work together, share, clean up their mess, follow directions and do their best. We also follow the Greenville County School District Science Safety Contract Pledge.  

I believe in giving students the chance to make better choices; however, if after a verbal reminder of our classroom expectations they will be removed from the activity and given a chance to fill out a " think sheet". This will give them an opportunity to regroup, think about their actions and how they will improve. If by chance the behavior continues, removal from the STEAM Makerspace may be necessary. At this point further support, guidance and contact home will be implemented.
