Engineering Design and Development (EDD) is the capstone course engineering course offered at Wade Hampton and is considered a senior-level design class. The knowledge and skills students acquire throughout PLTW Engineering (IED, CSP, POE, and CIM Honors) come together in EDD Honors as they identify an issue and then research, design, and test a solution, ultimately presenting their solution to a panel of engineers. Students apply the professional skills they have developed over the past 3 years to document a design process to standards, completing EDD Honors ready to take on any post-secondary program or career. The 2017-18 syllabus for EDD is available at the end of this page.
