About Me...

I am from Oregon, having moved here over 7 years ago.  I have a background in Therapeutic Recreational Education and Behavioral Intervention.  I have been working with at-risk students and youth with a variety of disabilities for over 15 years.  I have a passion for special education and serving students who might need a little more support than the regular education classroom can provide.  I have two children, Cannon is my 8 year old girl, and Hayes is my 6 year old boy.  I am married to my lovely wife, Kate Thompson, who is also a special educator and recently won Teacher of the Year at Brushy Creek Elementary.  This is my 5th year teaching here at Southside.  I am invested in this school, its direction, and plan to be a faculty member here at Southside for years to come.
