Yaa' teeh (Hello)!
My name is Cheryl Miller. I am a special education teacher with Travelers Rest High School. This is my ninth year of teaching at Travelers Rest High School, but it is my 13th year of teaching overall.
My undergraduate degree was a B. S. in Accounting from Bob Jones University. I worked in the corporate world for a few years, but then I wanted a change. I always had a desire to teach, so I decided to go back to school and I earned my M. A. T. in Multi-Categorical Special Education in May 2010.
Originally, I am from the Navajo Nation in Arizona. I came to South Carolina to attend Bob Jones University and I ended up eventually returning to South Carolina to live.
I have a wonderful husband named Dave and an amazing daughter named Janelle. We have two dogs: Kasey, a Carolina dog, and Jade, a Husky and German Shepherd mix.
I love spending time with my family - cooking, working on projects, doing ceramics, playing board games, watching movies and TV series, traveling, and trying new places to eat. My daughter and I love doing various arts and crafts. All of us love to go on day trips to window shop, visit antique shops, or go to arts & crafts fairs.
Pesonally, I think there is nothing like a fresh start. This is a new school year and a new start. I look forward to teaching your child and seeing them succeed this year. I believe this will be a great year! Go Devil Dogs!
