Parents, here is some information for you to refer to as we move through the year--

Homework

This year I have elected not to give required homework. There is lots of research that has determined that homework is not effective in elementary school, and is sometimes even detrimental. However, I do encourage you to read with your child for 20 minutes each night. This is an amazing way to increase reading skills, and build a love for reading. I would encourage you to get your child outside to play as much as possible after school!
