About Me

Hi, I’m Mr. Coates, and I’m excited to be your teacher! I currently teach Personal Finance (BAF 101), Web Design, and Animation here at Eastside High School. Before teaching, I worked in the retirement and financial planning field, helping people prepare for their futures. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and an MBA from Winthrop University. Outside of the classroom, I coach football and enjoy spending time with my wife and two kids. My goal is to help you build real-world skills you can use for the rest of your life.
