About Clean Energy Technology

Beginning with the 2026–27 school year, the program has transitioned from a two-year to a one-year sequence. Students currently completing the two-year track (Course 3: Clean Energy Strategies and Course 4: Clean Energy Innovations) will finish that sequence this year. 

The Energy Technology and Sustainability Program at the CTE Innovation Center is a year-long program and consists of two courses.  Clean Energy Systems is the first course (first semester) and Clean Energy Applications is the second course (second semester).  

The program was developed by the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) as part of Advanced Career, a multi-state consortium working to improve career and technical education. For more information, visit the SREB website.
