About the Teacher

Meet the Teacher

My name is Chrissey Hutto.  I am thrilled to be your child's Second Grade teacher this year.  This is my 19th year at Mauldin Elementary School and my 23rd year teaching!  I received my teaching degree from The College of Charleston.  I have taught Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade.   I love working with second graders!   I look forward to working with your children in the next step of their learning experience.  

I have been married to my husband Bill for 32 years.  We have three children:  Scott, Lauryn, and Jason.  Scott, our oldest, is a Pharmacist.    Lauryn is our middle child and recently finished PA School and started a job with Prisma Neurosurgery.   Jason is our youngest and is a 2nd Lt. in the Air Force and is currently in Air Force pilot training.   We are so very proud of our children and their hard work and love supporting them each and every day.  We have a house full of dogs.  We have a 15 year old Jack Russell Terrier named Bentley and two younger Jack Russells who are littermates, Ripley and Raven.  They are three years old.  We also have a ten year old chocolate lab named Tymber.  They keep us on our toes for sure.  Our family attends First Baptist Church Simpsonville and we are fans of the Gamecocks, Wofford Terriers, and the Citadel Bulldogs.
