Meet the Teacher

My name is Chrissey Hutto.  I am thrilled to be your child's First Grade teacher this year.  This is my 17th year at Mauldin Elementary School and my 21st year teaching!  I received my teaching degree from The College of Charleston.  I have taught Kindergarten, 2nd grade, and first grade.   I love working with first graders!   I look forward to working with your children in the next step of their learning experience.  

I have been married to my husband Bill for 30 years.  We have three children:  Scott, Lauryn, and Jason.  Scott, our oldest, is a Pharmacist.    Lauryn is our middle child and is attending PA School at Gardner Webb.   Jason is our youngest and is a senior at The Citadel.  He will enter the Air Force when he graduates this coming May.   We are so very proud of our children and love supporting them each and every day.  We have a house full of dogs.  We have a 13 year old Jack Russell Terrier named Bentley and two Jack Russell Terrier puppies, Ripley and Raven, who are a year old.  We also have a seven year old chocolate lab named Tymber.  He keeps us on our toes for sure.  Our family attends First Baptist Church Simpsonville and we are fans of the Gamecocks, Wofford Terriers, and the Citadel Bulldogs.
