Homework

Students will have homework nightly. Homework is a great strategy for reinforcing material taught in class, and it is essential that each student completes each assignment thoroughly. Several assignments will be set for the school year.

1. Students need to read about 15 – 30 minutes every night. This will help improve their vocabulary and increase their comprehension. Always ask your child what they read about. Check to see that they are correct in what they are telling you.

2. Students will be asked to complete output pages for Science and Social Studies content taught in class.

3. Math homework is given nightly. It is imperative that the student at least attempts all problems.

4. Spelling Tests will be given every Thursday.

*Weekly graded folders will be sent home every Thursday. Please review all papers and sign the Thursday folders to return to school.
