The EOCEP encourages instruction in the specific academic standards for the courses, encourages student achievement, and documents the level of students’ mastery of the academic standards. The SCDE has provided reminders to districts regarding student participation in testing programs. As a reminder, there is no "opt out" provision for testing.
Review the SCDE memo related to EOCEP participation and course grades for students not enrolled in traditional credit-bearing courses.
