Students may receive a South Carolina Work Ready Credential based on their performance on the Math, Reading, and Data assessments. Students can also earn the Essential Soft Skills Credential by successfully completing the soft-skills assessment. These credentials provide students with a way to demonstrate career-readiness skills to employers.
Why Does Your WIN Score Matter?
Your WIN results can help you:
✓ Demonstrate Your Skills
Show employers that you have foundational skills needed in today's workplace.
✓ Improve Your Career-Readiness Level
The senior retake gives eligible students another opportunity to demonstrate growth and improve their results.
✓ Earn a Career-Readiness Credential
Students who meet the required performance levels can earn credentials that validate workplace skills.
✓ Strengthen Your Resume
A career-readiness credential can give you another achievement to include when applying for jobs, internships, apprenticeships, training programs, or other post-high-school opportunities.
✓ Prepare for Life After High School
The WIN assessments focus on applying skills—not simply memorizing information. The goal is to help students demonstrate skills they can use in college, career training, and the workplace.
