Guiding Your Child’s Growth Through Collaboration and CareÂ
Middle school can be overwhelming — for students and their caregivers. Big emotions, shifting friendships, and rising academic stress can make everyday life harder to navigate. As the Mental Health Counselor, I provide therapeutic support to students and work closely with families to address concerns like anxiety, depression, trauma, or emotional challenges. Together, we take steps forward with care and connection.
You don’t have to figure it out alone — I’m here to help.
I believe every student has unique strengths and potential. Using a strengths-based approach, I focus on building what your child already does well while helping them grow in areas that feel challenging.
My work is also guided by person-centered and solution-focused methods. This means therapy is all about your child’s goals and finding real ways to overcome obstacles together.
I use a mix of proven therapies depending on each student’s needs, including:
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills to manage emotions and build healthy relationships
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help change unhelpful thoughts and behaviors
Motivational Interviewing to support your child’s motivation and readiness to change
Together, these approaches create a safe and supportive space where your child can learn new skills, build confidence, and grow stronger.Â
I believe real growth happens when families are involved. That’s why I walk alongside parents and caregivers every step of the way. You know your child best — and your insight is key to helping them thrive.
My goal is to help students become the strongest, healthiest version of themselves by building a strong support system between school, home, and therapy.
Services I offer include:
Individual therapy
Group therapy
Family therapy
Diagnostic assessment
Crisis management
Service plan development
Each service is tailored to the student’s needs, with care and connection at the center of the process.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), and former Elementary School Counselor with experience helping students build emotional regulation, resilience, and positive relationships.
In 2023, I earned my Education Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) in Counselor Education from the University of South Carolina, a step that aligned my career with my passion for supporting youth and families through meaningful, relationship-based work.
Before transitioning into the counseling field, I spent 15 years in the business sector, where I honed skills in communication, leadership, and problem-solving—strengths I now use daily in my work with students, families, and school teams.
My professional journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Management, from Eastern Connecticut State University in 2013.
I’m deeply committed to creating safe, inclusive spaces where students feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow—emotionally, socially, and academically.
