READ 180 is a one-semester English elective course designed to support students in building the literacy skills needed for success in high school and beyond. With a blended learning approach, the program provides individualized and personalized instruction through adaptive software, high-interest literature, and small-group direct instruction in reading and writing skills. The core components of the system have been designed to address literacy and language problem areas for improved reading comprehension and fluency. In addition to reading and writing, students will have opportunities to practice and demonstrate proficiency in speaking and listening, presentation, and language.
