Anatomy and Physiology provides students with a basic knowledge of the structure and function of the human body and mechanisms for maintaining homeostasis within it. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking and student centered learning. Through student research and debates, students will explore some of the ethical issues which arise with the progress of science. The central goal of the Anatomy and Physiology course is to provide students with a firm understanding of the general anatomy and development of the human body.
