About Us

Hi! My name is Julie Owen and I am the Media Specialist at Bethel. I am a Georgia native, but have lived in the Greenville area for 19 years! I graduated from Georgia Southern University in 2007 with a Bachelor's in Early Childhood Education. In 2019, I received my Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from University of South Carolina. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher. This is my 20th year as an educator, and I have been in the school district all 20 years as a second grade teacher, third grade teacher, technology specialist, and school librarian. This is my 7th year as a school librarian. I am married to my husband David of 19  years, and we have four kids (16, 12, and 9 year old twins). We also have a 6 year old Great Pyrenees dog named Trevor. If I can help you with anything, please let me know!
