Mrs. Edlin

hedlin@greenville.k12.sc.us

Hello, my name is Hope Edlin. I was born in Louisiana, but have lived in Louisiana, Texas, Ohio, South Dakota, and Kentucky. Most of my childhood was spent in Kentucky though and that is where I met my husband, so we consider Kentucky to be where we are from. We have 3 beautiful daughters and twin grandchildren, Thomas and Sophia!

This is my 23rd year teaching and all of those years have been spent at Bethel. I have taught 4th grade and 5th grade. Before I became a classroom teacher, I was the computer lab aide at another Greenville County elementary school.

A few things about me:

-I LOVE to read!

-I enjoy running and fly fishing.

-I'm a foodie. I love to dine out, cook, and try new things.

Mrs. Phillips

megphillips@greenville.k12.sc.us

Welcome! My name is Megan Phillips. I graduated from Winthrop University with my Bachelor of Arts in Dance Education in 2012 and from Oklahoma State University with my Master of Science in Elementary Education in 2015. I taught 5th grade at Bethel for three years (2015-2018) before moving to California for a few years, and returned in 2020 specifically to teach IMA. This will be my 10th year teaching, and I have a special passion for including creativity, curiosity, and the arts in learning.

My amazing husband Quinton and I live in Wellford with our sweet boxer Artemis and a handful of quirky cats (Aston, Finley, & T'Challa). My hobbies are baking, hiking, watersports like paddleboarding, writing (I’ve started a kids’ fantasy novel!), and reading. I volunteer with Carolina Boxer Rescue to save the "nubs". However, I feel like one of the most important things I invest my time in is my church (and all related pursuits).

We can do hard things!
