Our weekly newsletter will contain announcements, spelling words, units for the week, and upcoming tests. I email it out to parents and post it on my website.
Chromebooks
My personal classroom rule is that Chromebooks do not go home unless we are at risk of being out of school for weather. Chromebooks are not needed for any homework or studying.
Reading at Home and Homework
As homework, we ask that your child read for 20 minutes each day. Encouraging reading is by far the best way you can help your child succeed in school.
Students will also have spelling homework each week and may be asked to do math homework on occasion.
Snacks at School
Students are invited to bring a healthy snack for school each day. Water is the only beverage permitted in our classrooms. For our class, snacks and sweets can only be bought in the cafeteria on Fridays.
Electronic Devices, Smart Watches, and Phones
Electronic devices, including phones and smart watches, are not allowed to be used during school hours. If your student brings an electronic device to school, I will ask them to turn it off and store it in their backpack until the end of the class day.
