Hello Sterling Families!

My name is David Bernardy, and I am thrilled to be returning to Sterling this year. Although this is only my second year in an elementary classroom, I’m not new to teaching. For the past twenty years, I’ve taught reading, writing, and art to college students, but I finally figured out that all the cool kids are actually in fourth grade.

When I am not in the classroom, I like to read, make art, cook, and travel. My wife Joni and I have been married for twenty years, and our daughter Caroline will be a sophomore in high school this year.
