Beginning - 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Beginner Students
In this first year of middle school Theatre, students will develop, incorporate, and master foundational principles of theatrical performance in all of the following categories: Imagination, Movement, Pantomime, Voice, Improvisation, Acting, Literature & Playwriting, Technical Theatre, Theatre History, Artistic Discipline, Aesthetic Response, and Performance. Students will perform from memory in a variety of pantomime, monologue, duet acting scenes, and ensemble scenes (Major Grades).
Intermediate - Continuing 7th and 8th Grade Students (2nd Year in Theatre)
In this second year of middle school Theatre, students will develop, incorporate, and master foundational to intermediate principles of theatrical performance in all of the following categories: Imagination, Movement, Pantomime, Voice, Improvisation, Acting, Literature & Playwriting, Technical Theatre, Theatre History, Artistic Discipline, Aesthetic Response, and Performance. Students will perform from memory in a variety of pantomime, monologue, duet acting scenes, and ensemble scenes (Major Grades). These students will be expected to be a class leader and helper to their peers and pass unit tests with minimal aid.
Advanced - 3rd Year 8th Grade Students
In this third year of middle school Theatre, students will develop, incorporate, and master intermediate to advanced principles of theatrical performance in all of the following categories: Imagination, Movement, Pantomime, Voice, Improvisation, Acting, Literature & Playwriting, Technical Theatre, Theatre History, Artistic Discipline, Aesthetic Response, and Performance. Students will perform from memory in a variety of pantomime, monologue, duet acting scenes, and ensemble scenes (Major Grades). These students will be expected to be a class leader and helper to their peers, pass unit test with minimal aid, and volunteer for larger roles in the class 1 Act Play.
