"If you fail Math or English, you fail your grade. If you fail Social Studies, you fail life."
Allen T. Barker, Jr., 2000
For all of you wanting college recs:
Please remember to send me your extracurriculars (clubs, sports, volunteer, jobs, fine arts, etc.) or you will get a generic rec (_______ was in my class and passed, blah blah blah.)!
The essence of social studies is culture. Fine arts, performing arts, literature, religion and a host of other things go into the cultural equations that define us and the rest of the world. Social Studies seeks the factors of these equations, their sums, their consequences, and, above all, their differences
