About Me

Hello Everyone!

My name is Lawson Ballard and I will be teaching World Geography here at Greenville High School! I am the head coach of the Rugby team and coach defense for C-Team Football. Go Raiders!

A little about myself, I was born and bred right here in Greenville, SC. I received my B.A in Political Science from the College of Charleston and my M.A.T from the University of South Carolina. I have many passions in my life, but a few of my favorite are playing and coaching rugby, hunting and being outdoors, and reading.I recently got married to a wonderful woman and fellow teacher (Beck Academy), Mrs. Kelli Ballard! I have a Chocolate Labrador named Huckleberry and miniature dachshund Penny, who keeps me very busy as well!

Some things to know about my classroom:

1. Geography is tough, but FUN! Therefore, class will be tough, but fun. If you are patient, I will show you how this subject became such a passion of mine.

2. My classroom is a Brains/Imagination switch ON room. This means that things like "I don't know" and "I don't care" will never be acceptable answers.

3. Grades are EARNED, never GIVEN

4. LLLIJ ( Live Life Like Indiana Jones) There's a big world out there beyond the walls of my classroom, let's go see what it has to offer.
