Tech Help

From MasteryConnect Help Desk (questions incomplete, images not appearing, unable to Submit):

Are your students using Chromebooks to take this assessment? If so, what we recommend at this point is first to have the student clear their cache and cookies on their machine. Additionally, we recommend checking on the Chrome Extensions. Some ad blockers, games and other extensions will block additional in-page modals from working properly.

When we've seen this issue in the past, it's partly related to the browser cache being too full and not allowing the testing experience to work properly, or from a Chrome extension (if using Google Chrome or a Chromebook) blocking the same functions of the test.

What we recommend at this point is first to have the student clear their cache and cookies on their machine. Additionally, I recommend checking on the Chrome Extensions. Some ad blockers, games and other extensions will block additional in-page modals from working properly.

Clearing Cache & Cookies:

  1. Open Chrome.
  2. On your browser toolbar, click the Chrome menu Menu.
  3. Click More tools > Clear browsing data.
  4. In the box that appears, click the checkboxes for "Cookies and other site and plug-in data" and "Cached images and files."
  5. Use the menu at the top to select the amount of data that you want to delete. We recommend you choose "beginning of time" to delete everything.
  6. Click Clear browsing data.
  7. Exit/quit all browser windows and re-open Chrome.

Additional Troubleshooting

Deleting Chrome Extensions:
