About the Teacher
Hello Tigers!
It is a pleasure and an honor to be able to serve this great community! I am extremely excited to be at the Ridge! I am originally from the Columbia area and graduated from Lugoff-Elgin High School after spending time at both Spring Valley and River Bluff HS. I spent a short time just up the road in Tigerville as a member of North Greenville's football team before transferring to the University of South Carolina where I completed a degree in Physical Education. This will be my 3rd year of teaching/coaching strength and conditioning. Prior to my arrival this past summer at The Ridge I spent two years at Batesburg-Leesville High School where I served as their Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. During the 2023-24 school year I was recognized as a state finalist for the SCHSSCA AA strength coach of the year.Â
Currently I hold three S&C certifications, I am a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength Coaches Association (NSCA), a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach (USAW-1) and a Speed-Force-Max Certification (SFM, Tsunami Bar Specialist). Strength and Conditioning is a passion I hold near and dear to me. I am extremely motivated to grow as a person/professional and share my knowledge with the student body of Blue Ridge HS and this great community as a whole. My overarching goal as the Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at Blue Ridge High School is to SERVE those who pass through our doors to the best of my ability and help them to reach their goals, no matter what they may be!
Outside of teaching and coaching I am a South Carolina Gamecocks fan, I enjoy hobbies such as personal fitness, hiking, learning to play pickleball and golf, college football and traveling. I have no pets but own plants who are named after characters from the hit 70's TV show M*A*S*H.
