COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course is designed for the student who has successfully completed the prerequisite Algebra 2 course. The content includes function theory (including exponential, logarithmic, and polynomial), all trigonometric functions including limits of these functions, and analytic geometry. Students will usea graphing calculator for this course.
Required Materials:
Textbook
3 Ring Binder, notebook paper, pencils and graph paper
Desmos or Graphing Calculator (TI-83 or TI-84 family ONLY)
Grades:
o Nine week grades will be computed as follows:
o Tests 60%
o Quizzes 30%
o Homework 10%
o Final Course grades will be computed as follows:
First nine weeks 45% + Second nine weeks 45% + Final Exam 10%
Tests & Quizzes:
o Tests will be given every 2 - 3 weeks at the end of the unit.
o Quizzes are typically 1-2 times per-unit.
Re-do Policy:
Students may re-take one test during the semester. They must notify the teacher within 5 days of the test being returned and schedule a time outside of class to take the test.
