I expect ….

students to treat each other with kindness and respect
students to have an open mind
students to interact with one another
students to ask a lot of questions
students to contribute to our classroom community
students to invest in and take ownership of their own learning
students to care about their learning and their classmates’ learning

Students can expect that ….

I will treat them with kindness and respect
I will always take their opinion into consideration
I will respect their experiences and opinions
I will own up to my own mistakes (I will make them)
I will learn alongside them
I will ask for their input in our classroom community (a lot)
I will try to make our classroom fun
I will care for their learning
