How can I help my child read while reading ?

Good Readers....

*Look at the pictures

*Get their mouths ready

*Find chunks

*Slide through the whole word

*Read, Skip the word, Read

*Stop and reread

*Try a different vowel sound (cap/cape)

*Ask:

Does it look right?

Does it sound right?

Does it make sense?
