Hello! Welcome to the 2025-2026 school year. This is my 28th year as a special education teacher. Before joining the Fisher Middle family, I previously taught at Woodmont High School and Greenville High School in Greenville County. I also taught in Anderson School District 1, Anderson School District 2, and in a district in Pennsylvania. I taught all grade levels from Kindergarten through grade twelve. I am certified to teach students with diverse learning needs and disabilities. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania and a Master's Degree specializing in Special Education from Clemson. In 2019, I earned an educational specialist degree in secondary school administration from Furman University.
I am married to my college sweetheart, and we have three children who are all young adults. Andrew is a cybersecurity specialist. His wife Darby, provides private music lessons. Matthew is a graphic imaging specialist. His wife Caroline, is a financial advisor. Emily works as an instructional aide with Greenville County schools. She is also a singer/songwriter. I also have a beautiful grandson, Willem, who is a complete joy.
I chose this profession because I believe I am making a positive impact on children's lives. I plan to do all within my power to help your child become the best they can be because they deserve it. Students will believe that "failure is not an option". As the parents of my students, please know that your involvement is welcomed and encouraged.
